From the Executive Director:
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms
with every spiritual blessing in Christ." -Eph 1:3
God has continued His lavish faithfulness to us during 2006 as Mission Indy continues to: Equip Christians to Serve Others
Highlights of the year:
New Board Members
Laretta Benjamin from Englewood CC has served on the board throughout 2006 and has provided much help and enthusiasm. Then in December, Susan Taylor Engledow joined the board and began immediate contributions of ideas and energy. Thomas Looper stepped off after completing two full terms and we are grateful for his dedicated service.
Jr. High Journey Conference
At the end of October Mission Indy was the featured ministry for this convention of about 600 students.
Several of past participants came to help us choreograph an exciting workshop for all students and sponsors. It was great exposure and we received about $800 in offerings!
National Missionary Convention
Indianapolis was host to the National Missionary Convention this year and Mission Indy took
advantage of the great opportunity to gain exposure with our churches. Our display booth was double-wide and to express the theme of 2007 (Restoration), we built wall sections that showed the progress
from a dilapidated and run-down house exterior to one that had been restored to newness and beauty.
We had many people stop and talk because of the uniqueness of the booth. In addition, Mission Indy offered bus tours into the inner city and fed 120 people lunch at Englewood CC. Thanks to the good
work of the folks at Englewood, led by board member Laretta Benjamin, the huge group was in and
out of the dining area in 20 minutes.
URBANA '06
Ron, Marsha and Niccole along with Erin Sweeney, Charlotte Swartzentruber and Joe Cotner had the
privilege of taking in the huge college mission conference that Intervarsity puts on. We were able
to promote our summer staff program and gain much encouragement from believers around the world.

| Summer Program Highlights |
|
North Liberty Christian Church The first week of the Mission Indy Summer Program was hosted by North Liberty CC. Mission Indy is so grateful to North Liberty for the many people who sacrificed time and energy to serve us during the week. The group from Clear Creek CC led a Vacation Bible School for Iglesia Cristiana Westside each morning, and then in the afternoon they worked to install about 120 feet of privacy fence for Pastor Ramon

Garfield Christian Church - New Host Church!
Mission Indy is so thankful for the folks at Garfield CC who opened their building and their hearts to all of us who stayed with them the 2nd week of our program. Pine Village CC really enjoyed their time at Garfield CC and the neighborhood where we did projects such as a roof replacement on a garage, a privacy fence and some garage paintings.
Chapel Rock Christian Church
For the 10th year in a row, Chapel Rock CC hosted the 3rd week of Mission Indy. There were groups from Clermont CC, Trader's Point CC and Hope United Methodist from Ohio. Projects included perhaps the most completely dirty demolition project we have ever undertaken. Part of the group from Trader's Point suited up in Tyvek suits and organic respirators as they removed moldy and filthy trash and debris from the house. For the 3rd year, we led a VBS with kids from Hawthorne Community Center at West Park CC with Rob Wilkes.
Englewood Christian Church
For the 5th year in a row, the good folks at Englewood have opened their building and their hearts to Mission Indy, and it has become the favorite week of the year for the participating groups. Princeton Bible Church, Erie Christian Church, 1st Christian - Neoga, IL, New Testament CC - Haggerstown, 1st CC - Brook, IN and Scott Avenue - Newton, IL were the churches represented on the last week of the summer.
Incredible Summer Staff
We believe that the work we do with the college-age Summer Staff is perhaps the most important work we do! We are able to get to know and work with these students for 10 weeks, and so the relationships we build and the impact we can have on them is far greater than what happens during a week-long program. We were blessed to know and work with this group and we pray God's blessings on them.

Training Process
For 2006 we continued the Monday morning training process that we began in 2005. Many thanks to guys like John Hicks, Don Duncan, Tim Sweeney, and Jim Aldrich who demonstrated and taught students how to use tools safely and effectively. The students and sponsors were divided into groups of seven, who rotated through six different training stations such as Ladder Safety, Hammering, Power Tools and Painting.
