Internship

Mission Indy has a ten (10) week paid summer internship program for college students. It is a multi-faceted internship providing opportunities to lead and encourage the church groups during the Summer Program weeks, and to engage in hands-on ministry in an area of ministry the intern is passionate about. Pouring into the lives of a small group of committed college students from a variety of schools, has paid off big, judging by the testimonies received from former interns and watching them mature in their faith and walk.

The summer for interns begins with a relaxed retreat weekend, and then two weeks of intensive training. Beside practical skills training, they are also led through in-depth discussions on the nature of the Body of Christ and how Christians should respond to urban issues.

The Summer Intern Program also provides a great opportunity for them to be introduced to the day-to-day operation of various urban ministries. During four of the summer weeks, each intern gets hands-on experience working directly with one of Mission Indy's partner ministries or agencies.

You must be out of high school a minumum or one year to apply for the Summer Internship.

Mission Indy also hires an Intern Coordinator and a VBS Coordinator each year. You must be 21 years old, by May of the year you apply for either of those positions. In addition, Mission Indy offers a Media Coordinator position for a student skilled and interested in shooting and editing photos and video.

To apply for a Summer Intern position, go to the Downloads page and to the "Summer Internship" tab. The application Deadline is Feb. 15th.
